No matter how you feel…
Get up,
Dress up,
Show up.
And never give up.
No matter how you feel…
Get up,
Dress up,
Show up.
And never give up.
We are ambitious people. We want to do more each day. We want to do better each day. We want to be happy each day. We want to have fun each day…
The list can go on.
Then we feel we are short to realize all of these ambitions. We may beat ourselves hard by self-criticizing, self-doubts, self-punishments.
Please be mindful and give us a break, a hug, a high five for our ambitions.
We often are our own worst enemy. We are hard on ourselves.
Only when we mind ourselves well, we can mind others and the environment we live.
When we see a sign “working in progress, please detour…” on a road, we know there is something going on there. It’s a good sign to indicate the road will become better.
So when we are in a working progress, we are working on something, towards to a result. It’s a good sign that we improve, we experience, we learn.
Any success comes through the process. There is no overnight success.
The process may be very long, excruciating, even may feel back ward some times. The trick is to focus on baby steps, one step at a time.
Chinese proverb says: water droplets can cut through stones.
We need consistently, persistently make progress, drip by drip, little by little, that’s how we will make progress, how we will make a difference.
Do you have days or moments that you are so grateful for? Do you do this often?
Today is one of those days for me.
You get the idea. My gratitude goes out of roof.
Take a moment everyday, or a few moments of a day, think what you can thank for. The more you are grateful for, the happier you become. Isn’t this life about after all?
We live a busy life.
We face tension coming from all areas all the time.
How to control the tension?
Know your tension first: where is it from? Why do you feel it? What does it tell you? What can you do about it?
Tension creates an excellent opportunity for you. Make your decision, pick up your option, and release your tension. You will feel the urge for action, may be an euphoria of freedom… You will grow new experience and new muscles.
So embrace tension. Use tension as a tool for learning and growing.
Reciprocity is something special for two parties involved.
The miracle about reciprocity is that it naturally resides within us. It may take time to see it happening. It also may take time to receive it. However, when reciprocity comes to us, it will be one of the most happy moments in our life.
Today I got a message from one of my coachees. She thanks me profusely for helping her clarified her life goals and how to get there two years ago. Now she reached her first milestone.
I am so happy to get her thank-you notes. At the same time, I am grateful for being involved in a small part of her life.
I can’t take her credit for being successful. She is a smart, determined and wise lady. I want to be helpful to her. I received the reciprocity.
We don’t plan or create reciprocity. Reciprocity happens to generous souls. It is a gift in us. We can use it generously as well. Life gets better with reciprocity.
When I was little my parents alway told me to save candies or changes aside for future, a raining day, or another occasion. That may be one of the reasons I have developed some sort of scarcity mentality.
I save my best clothes for another important occasion. I save part of my energy for another day. I save some of my ideas to use in future… you get the idea – the mentality of scarcity has spilled over to my daily life and work.
When we live present, we give it all. We allow us to have free flow and totally immerse in the present moment. With abundance in mind, we can achieve the freedom we want.
There is no scarcity to find something you love for a living. There is only scarcity to resolve to find a way how to do it.
We all want to be better – have a better self, have a better life, have a better family…
Therefore, sometimes we can be very critical to ourselves and to others.
We tend to have negative thoughts, comments and behaviors.
One a-ha moment came to me today: when you have negative critical thoughts, step back, pause, and ask yourself: ” is this all I can offer for this moment? Do I have a bigger story than this to tell?”
When you reflect your bigger story, find out what would be your intention to have this thought, comment or action? What do you stand for?
You know that you have a bigger story for yourself. You have a big story to tell the world. So live for your big story!
Many people know the importance living in the present.
What does being present feel like? How can we know we are living in the present?
For one example, are you really taking shower when you are in the shower? Or you have your 9am meeting with you?
Are you realizing you are eating when you eat? How does the food taste? Or are you having an intensive conversation with yourself, or others? You don’t know how much you ate or what you ate?
When you wash your dishes, you really wash your dishes.
When you eat, you are eating.
When you listen, you are listening.
That’s it.
Live for the moment.
Give your all for the moment. Then you will find miracle and make a difference.
I like the word intention. I like to know my intention when I do things, speak, and think…
I like intention in multiple folds.
Thought has energy. Intentional thinking and action are powerful. They are my light houses in the sea, my North Star in life, my energy generator in action.
When you want to do anything, pause, do an internal check: what is your intention?
