Remarkable and things…

When I learned the remarkable, this word means extraordinary, exceptional, amazing, marvelous, outstanding, phenomenal, impressive, incredible… anything about remarkable is very good and positive.

Until one day, someone said, “Trump is remarkable.” This alerted me, not because the person said is Trump’s fan. It’s opposite.

Then I heard someone I admire said, “remarkable means something or someone is unusual, extraordinary, or worth of attention, or worth of remark…”

In a matter of fact, remarkable can be positive or negative depending on the content, even though many people like me think the word only means positive.

This explains!

I still like the word remarkable. I have fuller understanding of the word. I want to be remarkable!

To be remarkable, we need to contribute, produce, and create whatever we are doing in life. While doing and living our lives, we help others by offering our understanding, assertions, and empathy through giving remark, which is probably the most easy way to achieve remarkable for people like me. Then reciprocally these will help us to grow, create and remarkable.

  • Be curious, asking open or clarifying questions to loved ones, friends and family members, colleagues, and strangers. Everyone wants to be seen, to be noticed, to be connected.
  • Be empathetic, seeing things from others’ eyes, minds; offering understanding, mirroring what you see others, creating space for others.
  • Be generous, making time for oneself, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and people need; providing insights (not opinions) to others; being there with people deserve you.

Things can happen with these gestures, actions.

Start with little, bit by bit, day by day…

Remarkable happens when you focus on small step of contribution each day.
